PIP Club logoPilot Income Protection Club Europe Limited

The traditional form of insurance for professional Air Crew is a Loss of Licence (LOL) scheme. There is now an alternative to LOL which is Pilot Income Protection (PIP).

The PIP Scheme has been specifically designed for professional Air Crew in the airline industry.

PIP is not dependant upon the status of your licence, it is triggered by the fact that you have suffered a serious accident or are long term sick and unable to work. PIP will pay an agreed monthly amount up to 60 months (5 years) following the waiting period. By contrast your licence must be irrevocably cancelled by the Aviation Authority for a traditional Loss of Licence Scheme to respond.

The core element of PIP is Income Protection however, Personal Accident (PA) is also available for you and your spouse.

PIP Group Schemes can provide cover up to a maximum age of 65, however for the additional and voluntary benefits, the maximum age is 60.

The product is underwritten by Catlin Insurance Company (UK) Limited and is rated "A" for claims settlement ability by the rating agency Standard & Poors.
